Takin’ It to the Streams — Developer Banks on TV Channel Setting the Stage for a New Revolution in Music Promotion.
***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***
(KNOXVILLE, TN) — Mediarazzi, the world’s leading developer and producer of TV channels for Roku and Connected TV platforms has announced a new partnership with PA+A Artist Management and Knoxville-based musician Josiah Atchley to launch a new streaming TV channel for his band, Josiah & The Greater Good.
The self-named channel, “Josiah & The Greater Good,” will chronicle the band’s rise to stardom while featuring its music videos, Josiah and his bandmates’ personal videos, lots of bonus material and a few surprises, too — including new interactive fan-based features not found on any other channel. It will reach more than 100 million viewers across Roku and Connected Television platforms beginning mid-May 2019.
Mediarazzi founder/CEO, Phil Autelitano, who is also a principal at PA+A Artist Management which manages Josiah and his band, says,
“We’re excited to introduce Josiah and his music to a broader, global audience and help propel the band to new levels. He’s one of the hottest acts in the Southeast and soon to be, the world, because we’re that confident in streaming technology taking him there.”
Autelitano goes on to state that streaming- and connected television platforms are the fastest growing segment of the in-home entertainment industry and the fastest growing new technology since the Internet.
“What we’re about to do is somewhat groundbreaking. While millions of artists compete for eyes and ears across the Internet and its traditional, and albeit over-saturated, distribution platforms, we’re launching Josiah & The Greater Good virtually overnight to tens of millions of viewers hungry for something new. In the end, I believe we’ll have set the stage for a new revolution in music promotion and distribution––one that keeps that more in the hands of the artist — while creating a new model for other up-and-coming artists to follow. And together with us, Josiah and the band, we’ll all be the pioneers of that.”
Born and raised in Knoxville, TN, Josiah Atchley is a 28-year old, former U.S. Marine turned-musician. His incredible voice is backed by his amazing band, The Greater Good — Frank Sheadrick Jr. (drums), Jon Augustus (bass), Brandon Bowman (sax), Joey Pierce (lead guitar), and Mark Radice (keys). Together, they deliver high-impact, high-energy performances featuring a trove of great originals and unpredictable jams that have made them a favorite at major festivals like Bonnaroo and one of the hottest rock/blues/funk acts in the Southeast.
Mediarazzi is a pioneer in the streaming- and connected television space. Since 2009, Mediarazzi has developed and produced hundreds of TV channels for Roku and Connected TV platforms for major brands, TV and film studios, celebrities and content creators of all types, including channels for L.A.’s notorious rock ‘n roll venue Whisky a Go Go, boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya, and successfully relaunching the career of The Queen Bee of Southern Cooking, Paula Deen.
In 2019, Mediarazzi founder/CEO Phil Autelitano spun off PA+A Artist Management fusing years of entertainment industry experience with new- and emerging technologies to create a unique artist management and brand development solution.
Josiah & The Greater Good will debut on the Roku platform mid-May 2019. The channel is free and will be found in the Roku Channel Store under “Music.” Other platforms, including Amazon Fire Stick and Apple TV will follow in the months to come. Stay tuned.
